Why is my package not following a more direct route to destination?
Packages do not always follow a direct route to their destination. For the purpose of keeping packages moving carriers may load packages on the first plane, truck or train departing that day. Your package can travel hundred of miles in the opposite directions before returning.We cannot influence a carrier to follow a more direct route

Not seeing any activity on the tracking doesn't mean your package is not moving. Sometimes packages aren't scanned due to equipment failures or a reduction in personnel due to COVID-19. Also your pkg may arrive later than expected.
